i'm strongly considering a double breasted blazer but don't know whether to go with 2.5 or 3" lapels... (i'm 5'8") I contacted jason, and they allow jacket-only purchases which is awesome

I would go with the 3" personally - its not as wide as you think, and DB usually accomodates more width in the lapels. BTW - sweet display pic, that ensemble is sweet - is that you?

I got my suit about a month ago and it fits perfectly (I got measured in person, which helped a lot)... I ended up going with the house cut and like it a lot... I will definitely be ordering some more suits very soon... Will try to post some fit pics next time I wear it.

I've been in contact with Jason about a suit, but i'm interested in what SF has to say. I already have the boring, boxy charcoal business suit covered, and now i'm looking for a fashion-forward suit that I can wear to weddings and social events, and hopefully use the coat as a separate and pair it with denim.

I'm looking for pattern / color suggestions - I was thinking black, and Jason suggested black flannel. Haven't seen too many people in this thread wearing black suits though, so I'm not sure if people are still staying away from black or what.

If you're going to the wedding as the actual groom, then black's an option, yes. Otherwise you'll just look like a bit of a fool.

Looks good, but if you're going to go to the effort to post pics for feedback, I'd recommend putting out the extra effort to put on some shoes, which will give a more accurate sense of how the break on the pants falls.

Just my opinion but black suits are for funerals and not much else. There are people who can pull it off outside of funerals, but I am not one of those people.

As an aside, I've been invited to attend three funerals in the last 18 months. This is the only reason I'm considering buying a black suit. I've gotten away with my TaT charcoal herringbone suit (which is very dark, but fortunately not black) so far, but as I get older I see the need for a funeral suit in my future.

I personally do not like a black suit, but that is preference. If you have the charcoal, I think that a textured navy, like a tweed/flannel would be great. You could go with MOP buttons and break it apart with denim or chinos as well. Going with the house cut would make it fashion forward enough imho. The great thing with a navy suit is that you can wear black shoes to be formal, or brown for some punch.

I received my first TaT suit today. The suit is a 2 button house cut in charcoal #9. In my opinion, the fit is spot on. I will post fit pics this evening. Thank you for the excellent service Jason! I will contact you in the near future about my next suit.
