I had a gray tweed herringbone done. Tweed is better imo for not looking so much like an orphaned suit jacket. Almost exactly like this one but in a peak lapel. Tweed herringbone GS - on the fabrics pg, I can't tell under the RIP section whether that means tweeds are no longer avail or there was something else there before that's been removed?

For a first suit to use for semiformal (prom and such) and for concert wear (violinist) would a midnight navy or charcoal be a better option. Being in the orchestra, from the audiences view it would look black for either color, which would you guys recommend? I was thinking of getting a house cut with slightly wider lapels (2.75 in), 2 button (or 3 roll 2), flap pockets with ticket pocket, and smoked mother of pearl or horn buttons, but differing opinions seem to think they would be too flashy. Also would it be recommended to get belt loops or side tabs?

Another object of concern, is it possible to get high armholes for maximum mobility and are functional cuffs really that important?

Admittedly, when it comes to suits I have an untrained eye. That said, I'd have to say that I think it looks good. After a bit of suit "learnin" I may just try snagging a couple of those.

Just wanted to say thanks to Jason. Got my tux in with plenty of time to spare. That was a quick turnaround ~3weeks! Anyways, I was concerned about having the tux made asap in case adjustments need to be made, but honestly, it's not going to the tailors for anything. Even pant length and sleeve length I figured would need adjustment, but nope. Next order (there definitely will be), I'll be requesting a wider neck though. I think that's my only quip about the fit. I'll post pics after my brothers wedding.
