I am thinking about ordering the exact (almost!) navy blazer. I personally like the topstitched lapels as it gives it a "preppy" look and adds a nice detail. Hope it turns out well.

The sporting fabrics: Tweed! Personally I'd pick the light brown herringbone.

Good call. I have one very similar, but house-cut with hacking pockets & 3 button. The fabric is perfect for a jacket separate. 3 so far. Medium herringbone tweeds are great, as are bolder PoWs. IMO the short length of the TaT jacket works great as a stand-alone. Now, if I wear any other brand of sport coats they always look like orphaned suit jackets to my eye.

I wish there were photos of the measuring being done on real people. Are you supposed to measure with the tape flat and curving with the body, or do you hold it out from the body and straight?

Get it and post a fit pic... Then I'll decide whether I want one (looking for a navy blazer myself).
