I'm not such a fan of 3btn suits, but it sounds like the 3btn will be perfect as an odd jacket in check or tweed. The way I look at it us that something like charcoal works well for many occasions, dressed up or down and is less likely to be noticed if you wear it more than once within a limited time frame

Navy subtle windowpane would have been great as an option though.

that much unlike casual wear and watches so I never contemplated that aspect. I just like the idea of a nicely cut slim peak lapel one button suit approved by our resident coolretromoddaddy GS
