+1 on the db. i am thinking something along the lines of the one BoO did for this fall, but better. I think it should be very trim, with a nipped waist, and perhaps just a little bit more flair in the skirt than the single breasted TaT's have. Could be pretty awesome. oh and def a 6x2.

I've actually had a concept drawn out for a DB for over a year. It's something I really like and would wear, not sure if anyone else would. Stylistically it's a 6x3 but the buttons at the front are closer together than the typical DB, about 4" apart. I have some old photos of the Beatles and I think it was George wearing something similar that just looks fantastic. Obviously the silhouette would be a fitted one.

Still debating if it's something worth trying to make.

If you make one you have an automatic sale right here. It'd be nice to see someone break the mould of the ridiculous assumption that they can only be worn by old people.

I lengthened the suit by about 2 inches, and the lapel width from 2 to 2.75.

I also requested for more waist supression ala yfyf.

+1

I think a DB from TaT would look fantastic given that your aesthetic tends towards shorter jacket skirts and suppressed waists, two qualities lacking from almost every other DB on the market.

Where do I sign up?

I was reading a few pages back, and just to share my insight, i think a peacoat would be a great idea, because it seems as though everyones always looking for one in their size. So if it was custom made, no one would have to look much further, and its a garment im sure most of us wouldnt mind dropping some $$$ on. I intended to buy one since the beginning of winter, but just havent been able to find one in the right size.

wow... I just finished reading/skimming literally all 75 pages of this thread. I am now very informed, and will probably place an order for a navy sportcoat sometime in the future. My question: how much time do you spend on this venture? I mean, this seems like an awful lot to handle when you already have a fulltime job.

I'm like a stereotypical Jamaican.

re: DB jacket....I think I'll try to make a prototype soon and then see what people think of it.

Sod that. This is time you could be spending on the slim overcoat idea.

Priorities man.

I've been looking for something like this for a while now. I even looked at the BoO stuff in the fall until i realized it would never fit me. I'd definitely dig it.

I decided to go with Jason for a Charcoal 2 button suit. While we are in cohoots discussing the details I would like to pose a question to you guys. For my shirt and tie for this outfit I think I want to go all out with Band of Outsiders. Or if anyone has any other reccomendations, let me know. Does anyone have any personal prefrences for what would be a great combination with a charcoal 2 button suit? Thanks guys.
