Just a note, Mike is likely to continue to do a shortwing considering how popular it is. And he is likely to switch it up and keep it in stock pretty frequently. For these custom makeups, we really should strive for something really unique or off the beaten path (but obviously versatile). Something that other shoemakers aren't really doing. The austerity brogue definitely seems to fit that bill particularly in a suede. Thoughts from others?

Perhaps we should consider setting a deadline to try to move things along. Particularly since there's still the open question of sizing on a given last and then it looks like there will have to be some negotiation over certain details to arrive at a final makeups.
Would the non-boot guys be interested in something like this? These are suede austerity brogues on the Simpson for Spencer Hart. I prefer the lighter tan but find them both very attractive. Found these on the "shoe Appreciation thread" from Malford of London,
For the shoe folks, can we revise the voting to include the austerity brogue and eliminate other options that haven't been well received? Seems that a shortwing seems popular and the austerity brogue may appeal to folks. And then recirculate?

The shortwing and double monks are far and away our best sellers, so I'm already planning to do plenty of makeups in those shapes. And if you're a wide/narrow/extended size we can tack on a pair for you onto our reorders.
A bal austerity brogue is something really cool that I'm not likely to make up as stock, and it's a style that Carmina does really well. Pricing should be good too - in calf or suede I'd estimate that this would come in around $525.
Following this thread and participating in these makeups is a real pleasure for me - you guys have excellent taste in shoes!
