I'd love to see what all the different colors of shell look like. Is that possible?

what does everyone think of this boot in Cognac Shell, blind eyelets, Robert last. Its basically the boot you see below with the changes I described. Again, I have no outsole preference.

Is cognac the same as chestnut? Don't see it listed on the site.

For non-shell option, I think an oiled suede/nubuck perf captoe blucher boot with dainite would rule.

Intrigued by this discussion. More interested in shell, I think, though it depends on what the other makeup is. I like the whole cut suggestions that have come up. Don't have anything like that. I have to say that a balmoral boot has never crossed my mind. No time like the present, I suppose. Looking at the photos Namor's posted, any thoughts on no perforation on the cap toe?

Nick describes them as "These are the model 797′s in Cognac with natural Dainite soles." However they look like brown shell

Cognac:

clearly two different shades

I would be down for this

in it's original color or cognac icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

My votes would be for a brown cordovan wholecut or a brown cordovan bal boot with blind eyelets, medium brown edge trim and a leather sole.

My vote would be for a split toe monk strap in cognac or burgundy shell, not sure which last though, I'm also worried that they would seem like a regular Carmina makeup when the biggest point in all of this is to make the shoe our own. Ugh but I also love the 532 model with the detroit last.
