You can ask. But I highly doubt it.

Can someone remind me when the hatchgrain chukkas are due in?  I ordered them but forget when they'd be completed. LOL!

I guess that would've been important info to include, eh? I put it in the OG post, but they're $95 and will have a 4 to 6 week lead time.

We quoted between September and November. I know we're going to get a pretty massive shipment toward the end of this month, but realistically I would expect them in mid-October or early November.

My apologies for the late check-in. There's some great ideas going around here! Let's see if we can swing something on the "austerity" u-cap idea. And of course the Shell Chukka. Carmina is back in full swing, so this is a great time to place orders for late Fall. I'm going to do some stock styles as well, and I'll post them here this week if anyone wants to special order a size or width out of our typical range.

Mike,

are you still thinking the shell chukka pre-order might go up this week?

Checking in with you guys!

Just got confirmation on our next Carmina delivery. We'll have the following styles incoming

1. Jodhpur Boot in Burnished Tan Scotchgrain. Forest Last. Dainite sole with a double wrapped strap. This is personally my favorite shoe we've done from them.

2. Alt Wien in Hatch Grain with a Commando sole. Forest last.

3. Jumper boot in Kudu leather with a Commando sole. Oscar last.

Here's an example of the Kudu:

4. Restock of the Taylor Split-Toe in Burnished Carmel calfskin

We're going to work on building out some preorders to launch this week as well! First I wanted to float an idea out.

I'm sure you guys have seen our Alden Innsbruck, it's been far and away our most popular makeup in quite a while. What do you guys think about doing a Carmina version?

I was thinking Brown Chromexcel, brass hooks + eyes, Commando sole on the Forest or Oscar last. I think it could make a kick ass boot that could still be worn slightly dressy with, say, flannel or tweed trousers and something like our Veneto. The stitching could either be tonal (like the split-toe in Kudu I posted above), or they could do the white stitching like the Indy.

And if you haven't seen their Commando, it's pretty GNARLY:

When we narrow down the makeups, I'll post up the details immediately!

Nice...any updates on the Hatch Grain Jumper and WWII Boot?
What color is the hatch grain?

And the commando sole shown in the pic, is that called something in particular? I. E. dress commando? Because its much slimmer/dreasier than other commando soles

Not that I've heard. Should be here very soon.

It's going to be the same Hatch Grain that we did on the MTO shoes. So it's a medium brown. Should make up a killer style! As far as I know, there's no special designation like "dress commando". They've been working to develop this for some time now. It's a nice addition to the York and Dainite.

the guys at skoaktiebolaget just did a "tanker" boot on the soller last that looks practically like an "indy" boot (given its ommission of a "contrast stitch" along the split toe portion of the boot):

and i'm all for a customized indy style boot from carmina too.  alden's lead times are just ridiculous.  but at the moment, i'm more on the lookout for a tan suede version of the "Indy" boot that's exceedingly rare (at least when compared to chromexcel versions).

this specific makeup from tres bien with a natural welt looks awesome:

we could maybe do a riff on this model with the beautiful noix januscalf suede that carmina sources. its hue may be a bit more yellowish orange, when compare to the light brown tan hue of the tres bien model - but i actually prefer it.  see for instance its use on this split toe derby (also on the soller last):

for classic "indy" styling, you could do a boot with a natural style welt.  and then put it on a commando sole just like you guys do with your "milkshake" indy model.

but carmina's razor-fine welt styling on their crepe sole model is really something else too. i love the clean edges and "red pops" along the sole stitching.

just throwing out some suggestions, really.  i'm also mindful of how a crepe sole would make an "indy" style boot more of a summer option than a fall / winter one . . .

Any word on the midnight calf balmoral?

Also wondering what the status of the snuff suede chukka is.

Any idea if that big September shipment has the Midnight Calf Adelaides MTOs from April? Thanks!

Would that be the same for the shell cordovan WWII Field boots and snuff suede chukkas from that same batch MTO? Or could those be in the late september shipment?
