I like those...

^ I much prefer either the Simpson or Rain lasts...

^ I believe that the u-cap was built on Rain, so you are in luck! That makes two of us interested in the austerity version. Perhaps we can get some momentum now to have that one made!

any version of this minus the monk strap (ie, a more traditional lace up)?

Carmina has a lizard cap toe in black on their online store (in the oxford section).

is there a practical reason for the u-cap, or is it purely aesthetic?

Hey guys!

My apologies for the late check-in. There's some great ideas going around here! Let's see if we can swing something on the "austerity" u-cap idea. And of course the Shell Chukka. Carmina is back in full swing, so this is a great time to place orders for late Fall. I'm going to do some stock styles as well, and I'll post them here this week if anyone wants to special order a size or width out of our typical range.

I received word that Carmina has about 93 pairs of shoes & boots ready for us, and they're waiting on a few more styles to finish up. We're expecting the next delivery around the end of the month, and I'll have the full breakdown of what's in there shortly. I'll let you guys know - but many of these are surely MTO project styles. Can't wait! I'll check in on the new concepts in a day or two.

ALSO.... I'll have pics of a Hatch Grain belt sample that we just received. I'm checking to see how much leather we have on hand, but we should be able to make a decent run of belts for anyone interested in getting a matching piece to their special order boots. I'll find out how many we can cut and what the price is going to be on them, and get back to you shortly. They look great!

Would be great if Epaulet can do another run of the Jodhpurs in Midnight navy calf that they did last year in August 2012.

Any chance of doing a Carmina Jodhpur in navy shell cordovan?

Hey guys!

Just checking in with you as I want to start helping Mike out with the thread a little bit more.

I know there are a couple of ideas being kicked around at the moment. We'll try to get one or two going in the next week!

For now, let me show you guys the Hatchgrain belt sample:

Here's the details:

- We only have enough leather to cut about 12 units. It's going to be another 2-3 months before we can get more of the leather. Since we only have a small quantity, the belts will be cut to order.

- The belts will be made to our standard shape. 32MM or about 1.25" wide. They'll fit nicely in just about any pair of pants you own. You have the choice of a brass or silver buckle.

- This is the same leather that was sent to Carmina, but they may be a bit lighter than the resulting boots. Carmina typically finishes every shoe with several coats polish, so they end up darker than the original skin. The belts will not be polished. So they may not be exact, but they'll be very close.

- We can make any size from 30 to 44 (waist size 28 to 42).

- $95 per unit, 4-6 week lead time. (sorry for not posting this originally)

If any of you guys are interested, feel free to drop me a PM and I'll get you sorted out!
