Epaulet x Carmina MTO - Page 222

I'd be interested in doing a re-run of the ruby shell captoes in rain last or if people would like to mix it up, or perhaps even in saddle shell captoe or ruby shell captoe with medallion.

I find the Carmina chukkas are quite handsome and it'd be nice to have it in either saddle shell or light cognac shell version of it.

On a separate note, if you plan to restock some existing styles on the website, would it be possible to setup a special order to pay full ahead of time to have a custom wide size made if the last allows for it.  I've admired your Steinbeck, Fitzgerald, and Anderson models in shell but I'm an E or borderline EE US size.  I find that Rain or Inca sized half up can work, but am unsure if that will work for Forest Last.

Wow, some of those A&A Crack & Sons leathers are fantastic (http://www.aacrack.co.uk/default.asp?contentID=1). Plenty of scope there for all kinds of make-ups (first prize for
anyone that can suggest a use for "Barbie pink" in a shoe that someone might actually wear ....).

I have some cash ready to put down for the hatch-grain chukka, especially if it is going to be a >3-eyelet model on a non-leather sole (any word on the mock-up?). That hatch-grain jumper boot
make-up though is going to be killer so it is going to be a hard choice to make come June 10th.

Did anything ever happen with the kudu MTO - or did I miss that one? A tough take-all-knocks boot on a commando sole would be a useful addition to my winter armoury.

The only last info I can go off is the two pairs received from Ep recently--the navy shell double monk, on Rain, fits great; the Greeley boot, on Forest, is a touch narrow in the midfoot. Is there a composite picture like the one found on here for Alden lasts, or is there a list somewhere of narrow to wide, how the Carmina lasts run?

The deep purple Russia calf is fantastic... Any chance of getting this for that contrast leather/suede boot we've been tossing around?

In terms of the Lizard Makeup, I've got two images that I can show you of Carmina samples...

This style is what I'd be after, but in black and ideally a single strap. Double is too busy for lizard.

I'm not.

Lets do this thing. I mean... if we can't get it done, let's get our own MTO going. I've already got me + 1 for a Burgundy Austerity. Unless I've missed it, I've asked three or four times and unfortunately never hear an answer.

Did you guys already discuss which last the burgundy austerity brogue would go on? Rain? Simpson? What's the difference between the two? Is one more chiseled and the other rounded? I'm still on the fence with this one. I'm trying to figure out when I'll ever need to wear a burnished burgundy austerity brogue. Cool as fuck but I feel like my dress options would be limited

Agree, single monk. Didn't you have a pic when the idea was first introduced?

A true burgundy - especially carmina's will go with blue and grey suits.  Simpson would be a standard chisel and fantasic... I also think an adelaide on the alcudia last in burgundy would look great as well.

I'm down for either one but my favorite is Simpson. Simpson is the slimmest of the lasts. But Rain is pretty too - I just don't own any.

I'm in for the loden jumpers.

One thing I'm wondering about the woodlore trees-- have you physically tried them with the Carminas? I've found that the cheapest Woodlore trees when I tried a fancier model, I found them smaller than labelled. Maybe I ran into an odd situation?

+1 I was wondering too.

Nope that wasn't me. Should be easy enough to visualize though
