chiseled can work  would look right on this. any idea how Rain compares to Simpson in width . . . . more

narrow, wider, pretty much the same ?

For a summer shoe, how about a really luxurious suede derby similar to the John Lobb x Paul Smith collection? Grey or Purple Mike?

The Rain last is a wider last with chiseled toe. Most people have to size up a half size when moving from Rain to Simpson and vice versa.

This is the third Saturday in a row I've had to work, so to make myself feel better I ordered the Terracotta boots! I am also in favor of the blue double monks.

The Tassel Loafer in PURPLE suede would be sweet...

Yes. Yeeeeees. It would make a nice spring/summer counterpart to the purple accented Austerity boot that's a potential makeup for Autumn.

Hey guys,

We've still got time to do a great summer shoe. How about we move off of boots for a bit (with a promise from me that we'll go absolutely bonkers with boots for the Fall) and toss around some shoe concepts.

I love the idea of doing a loafer. And pulling off a spectator shoe could be really great!

How about this for two ideas:

The Carmina tassel loafer on the Vetam last is incredible. Great fit and a really fantastic shape. I found a pretty unique suede on Carmina's sample shelf. I'd call it "mist"

It's a soft greenish-blue-grey. Great pop color for warmer months and very wearable with chinos, grey trousers, and jeans. We can of course do this in something like snuff suede, navy suede, saddle shell, etc, but this color was really speaking to me.

For a spectator, how about something along these lines:

I LOVE the Austerity Brogue, and you guys were all very much on point when you suggested it as our first makeup. I love how this looks, but it's probably a bit dark for the timing of this delivery. How about doing it in a mix of burnished tan calf and snuff suede?

Id order these loafers right now if you did them.

Oh my god. How did I not see this thread?

Still possible to place an order? I'd love something like this...y8ujy3ur.jpg

Even better if possible in a boot. That's cordovan in a red color.

How can we place an order? What is the estimate?

^ You missed all of the trains, buddy. Red shell shoes got ordered and shipped, and recently reordered. Red shell bal boots got ordered and should be delivered within a few weeks.

There's a pair of red shell ankle boots on epaulet's site, but I don't know if they've sold out by now.

^Right, there are these from Epaulet: http://epauletnewyork.com/collections/carmina-footwear/products/bradbury-perforated-captoe-boot-ruby-shell-cordovan

And there's a Ruby shell oxford on Carmina's own site: http://www.carmina.telemaco.es/articulo.asp?idarticulo=4334252

Neither is quite the same style as those Trickers, however.

DAMN! Heart broken frown.gif

Anyone recall what the price was for the red shell shoes? Would it be possible to MTO shoes from them on my own?

I could punch a wall right now...

I should know this because I ordered both pairs, but I'm not sure. I think the shoes were $825 and the boots were $925. Look through the thread gallery (found in the upper right hand corner at the top of the page) to see both pairs. The biggest bummer is that the low pair is basically exactly what you're looking for.

You might be able to do a MTO, but the red shell (called "Ruby" by Carmina, because it's not exactly red) tends to be somewhat limited.

For those of you interested in a pair of mist suede loafers, what do you think about making it up like this:

This is Carmina's string loafer on the Uetam last. This is the last that Mike had mentioned earlier. While I'm open to tassel loafers as well, I gotta say that I'd definitely prefer a pair of these. I'd love to get this makeup under way soon so we can have them for the summer. Let me know what you guys think.
