I didn't mean "sleazy" at all. I meant more "creative" types; those in a field where some eccentricity is viewed as an asset. In my field, I'd literally be told by management not to wear them when client-facing.

For example, Nick Wooster is well known for wearing unusual items. He's also in a field where showing up in yellow shoes, or camoflauge wingtip boots is viewed as totally acceptable...and I have a tough time thinking of many industries where similar dressing is not a liability.

Don't get me wrong - I think they're at least nice, if not my cup of tea. I'd be interested in python as an accent on something like blue calf or shell.

I have the Leffot X Wooster camo suede boots and have worn them to work.
They didn't get much comment beyond "I can't see your feet. They blend in to the foliage so well."

I think the most comments I've gotten have been when I've worn something like khakis and grey New Balance.

This is the best I can do for now, indoor with flash. I will find time this weekend to take better pics.

I'm really happy with my order.

Even if I don't get where you'll wear the pythons, they are are a work of art. Those ruby cap toes are gorgeous, too...and something I could see myself wearing.

Guys with python shoes, don't forget to buy a good exotic leather conditioner because they'll curl on you if they dry out.

Actually, that's a little bit confusing with Carmina.

The Forest last is stamped a "EE" - which is a medium for Carmina shoes. When we special order it in a wide fitting, it comes stamped as "EEE."

Me: They're shell. *Ruby* shell.

Haha, this is awesome! Glad that you're enjoying the shoes and thanks again!

So I'm curious...where/when do you guys intend to wear these shoes? Unless you're a fashion designer, ad agency guy (at a "forward" agency), or may a club promoter, I don't see where/when anyone would wear these python austerity brogues.
Anybody car to share their plans?

I was blown away by these shoes in person. The typical mens python shoe is definitely more "pimp cup" than "coffee cup," but I think that the thick sole and classic anglo shape of the Austerity Brogue really set it apart. Personally, if I was going to style them, my first choice would be a really sharply tailored navy suit, white shirt, subdued tie, and these shoes - paired with no break on the trousers. Keeping everything else clean and letting the shoes be all of the rock and roll in your outfit.

I can easily see them with jeans and cotton trousers too. They're probably too much to wear to a really conservative job, but I think that a lot of guys could pull them off in a more casual work environment. And they'll be awesome for nights & weekends. They're f-ing gorgeous in person!

Hey guys, just want to check in!

We're anticipating our next delivery with Carmina to come between Wednesday and Friday of this week. I'm expecting our Navy calfskin MTO's and the long-awaited Navy Shell double monks. The wholecuts and chocolate suede Jodphurs will most likely come with our first Spring delivery, but I'll be in touch on that.

Sorry for the delay with our remake MTO styles, I've been working on building them out on our new website.. epauletnewyork.com .. which should be ready to go with its MTO section later this week. We've been steadily loading product into it over the past few days. I'm going to host the new styles there. Let's definitely rock a remake of the Python brogues and Ruby perf captoes. I owe my friend FrankCowperwood a really boss and long-awaited Photoshop mockup of a two-tone Alt Wien as well icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

And, Carmina just confirmed that the patternwork on the Austerity Bal Boot is completed and scaled to all sizes. I've got a new set of photos to show you, and they're ready to take orders on it just as soon as we send them. We're gonna have to find a good name for this style!

Looking forward to receiving the navy jodhpurs and the chocolate suede jodhpurs. The wait is too much to bear biggrin.gif

Thanks again for all the hard work getting these MTO's running so smoothly, much appreciated!

Anyone interested in this shoe in size 8UK? Queens Last
I just got mine from Epaulet. BNIB

I already have another pair in Ruby shell so I'm thinking to sell it to get the Cognac Single Monk.

Those boots look cool...I get a journalistic vibe from them...if you like the yellow journalist sort, you know, the kind of writer who likes to draw people in with sensationalism, I'd go Hearst. But to me these are more classy and subdued than that (that name would fit a Python Austerity though). In that case I'd lean solidly on the Greeley. A great man, who did great things in the name of progress in the mid to late 1800s, right here out of NYC.

Mike please take another order for the python brogues. I bought my girlfriend the python heels for Christmas and she loves them. I didn't think I could pull off the python brogues when they were up for order but I really love the pics in this thread.

You can refer several pages back when the pictures of the pythons were initially posted. IIRC Mike said he's going to put another order in, and orders can be placed now until Xmas or New year (forget the exact date).

I still need teh Rubiezzzz frown.gif
