Namor, that sounds insane! When did you place the order, what was the damage (if you don't mind my asking), and when can we expect pictures?

Hey Folks. Apologies for the shameless plug, particularly since I'm shilling a non-epaulet Carmina, but Mike gave me the OK. I have a gorgeous pair of Carmina snuff suede full brogues on the Rain Last, size 8UK, that are too tight for me. I bought them on B&S brand new and wore them for 3 hours. I'm willing to let them go, with the lasted shoes trees, for $400 or best offer. Cheers!

Hey guys!

Sorry for the lack of updates from my side! We just had a great meeting with Carmina, and we've got a TON of good things in store for the Fall.

First things first, I have some photos to show from their visit last week:

Betty & Antonio with Adele and I

Betty & Antonio with Epaulet employees Matt and David

An all-Carmina shoe round. Well-worn caramel Salingers on the top, Saddle shell salingers on the bottom. New-ish chocolate calf Fitzgeralds are in the upper right.

A close-up of Betty's unreal python Austerity brogues. Who's down with this for a mens style???

Haha, she's the best. You down for this shoe as a mens style? :slayer:

They actually have a (somewhat) restrained python skin that's a few shades of brown. The thought of a makeup run has crossed my mind...

Epaulet Fall 2012 Makeup Projects

Okay, let's kick this off once again! We've got leather and production blocked out, so we can start getting some new styles into work for the Fall. Our minimums are pretty low - we only need six guys to sign on for a Shell style and 10 guys for a non-shell style. With these makeup projects we can create some great styles together and offer you guys a solid price for the item.

First off, let's start with the Bal boot style that we cooked up a few months back. I reactivated the item in Chestnut:

Special Order Chestnut Shell Bal Boot DEPOSIT

The preorder is going to be open until June 16th. We've also dropped the final price to $950 with Carmina shoe trees included.

So far, Chestnut has been our best-selling color of shell, but if there's enough interest then it's no problem for us to run this style in another color like Saddle or Color 8.

Second, you guys may have seen the "Sinclair" wingtip boot that we introduced in April:

This is an exclusive style that we developed with Carmina. I was speaking with Fok (La Guy) last week, and we're going to work on a site-wide promo for this style. I'm thinking of offering four different "Styleforum" makeups that members can choose to order for delivery in October. We can do anything. Navy suede with brass eyelets. Two-tone Chestnut and Color 8 cordovan. Natural or Brown Chromexcel. I'd love to hear your suggestions. We'll look to put this up around the middle of June.

Third, another style that I really like is the Thompson Plain Toe.

I love this shoe, and it's been really well received. Doing a chunky PTB like this with Carmina is something new that we wanted to bring to the market. Would you guys be interested to do something here? It could be really simple (Chestnut shell, brass eyes) or kind of crazy. I'd love to put together some makeups with this.

Mike that Bal boot looks GREAT. Does Carmina have any access to Navy Shell? Its a color I'd love to have in my rotation. if some of my sales go through on here, I'll def be pouncing on the Bal boot pre-order...

Mike, sounds like tons of amazing stuff in the works with Carmina.

We discussed previously a calf/suede balmoral option similar to the following:

Are you still interested in putting something like that together? I would be all over that.

Also, Sinclair two-tone makeup in chestnut and #8 sounds fantastic. Definitely would be interested in that.

And I can vouch for the Thompson plain toe, which I have in navy suede. My go-to shoe on my recent trip to Paris. Chestnut shell with brass eyes would be nice and simple and work well in lots of situations.

Agreed. We can do either a Dainite sole or the "York" combo Dainite sole that's currently on the Thompson.

Carmina has a lug sole, but it's nothing like the Alden Commando. It's solid black - like the Alden Kudu Indy - and not all that attractive IMO.

Yup, let's absolutely do that combo Bal boot! I love this makeup. The price is going to be great too.

Question on the sole for guys interested in ordering: are you leaning more towards double leather and flat welt or York sole and storm welt?
