Oh, I searched the Epaulet and Armory websites some time ago, but for a long time I was reluctant to order Carmina without trying them on. Now I'm close enough to DC (and NYC) that I could make a short trip if I wanted to get my sizing exact. Unfortunately, Epaulet is now out of my size in the suede double monks, so I'm waiting for a re-stock.

When I say "winter boots", I actually mean some sort of ankle boots like chukka boots with a Dainite sole and storm welt. I have a pair of C&J Tetburys that I really like, but I can't wear them every day in the winter, I would really prefer a more rounded toe than the Tetburys, and I would like a pair in cordovan (color and perhaps shell cordovan material). I also realize that I missed the original suede austerity brogues in this thread, darn it. They look really sweet!

Also Mike - are we holding off on the black balmoral austerity brouge boot?

^ Indeed, I'm also interested if we're going to go ahead with this, like the below boot but in black and /w speedhooks

That was me, thanks for posting a pic NAMOR, the Carmina is definitely visibly thinner.

That's pretty much why I was thinking no speedhooks/all eyelets.

I love those boots!!

A makeup that nice would be copped with or without speed hooks.  Would love a Dainite sole too, especially considering how thin it is when looking at NAMOR's navy shell boots.  Sounds like we have a lot of people on board...Mike can we move forward with this?

Was just thinking that those looked very NAMOR-ish.

What's the brand of those boots in the pic? They aren't Carmina -- or are they?

Saint Crispin's
^ gsugsu is correct, they're Saint Crispin's, I just yanked the pics from the Balmoral Boot P0rn Thread.

The shape would probably be similar if we did it on an almond toe shaped last like the Alcudia, if that's even a possible makeup, and I think all the balmoral boots made so far in this thread have been slightly taller (10 eye vs the 8 on the Crispin's).

Vass also makes a very similar boot

Thank you for the ID. Much appreciated.

If Carmina does not already have a similar pattern, they seem adept at cutting new ones.
