By Adelaide I assume you mean the Alcudia last?

I'll have to look into sizing on those a bit more, if I recall correctly those are both narrow lasts? I'm usually on the slightly wider side of normal, not extreme mind you, but enough to make it so I would have to adjust sizing for narrower lasts.

guys so where are we at in terms of this ruby shell? it seems exotic and amazing and I would love to see what we can come up with to hopefully get the ball rolling on it.

This might be a bit too similar to the Scotchgrain bal boot for me, but it still sounds like it's shaping up to be a beautiful boot.

I don't think anything concrete has been decided. We've tossed around a few ideas, but there hasn't been a consensus on any one design (let alone the last and all that), or even if we want it to be an all-out crazy shoe, or a conservative shoe in a wild color. I'd still love to see a single monk, but would totally be down for a pair of oxfords. Maybe Mike can take the reins on this one.

It's just personal preference, but I hate split toe shoes; my vote goes against that idea, but we'll see what everyone else thinks.

It's just personal preference, but I hate split toe shoes; my vote goes against that idea, but we'll see what everyone else thinks.

I think a simple open lace derby or loafer would work great or even a classic monk strap. Red is a casual color best suited for a "less professional" style of shoe. This is def not a color that you'd wear with a suit.

Yup, I love it! Wholecuts actually first appealed to me when I saw The Armoury's tan Carmina on Inca:

 

 

 

I don't like Rain, but would love a wholecut on Inca, Forest, or maybe Robert.

Love this shoe. I thought Epaulet was going to stock this shoe in black calf on one of their next shipments.

For the ruby shell cordovan, in a effort to get more pairs of shoes out of the stock, perhaps a spectator wingtip, with burgundy (or similar to the ruby) color suede. Something like the Gaziano & Girling pictured below. 4uhyzahy.jpg
