Does anyone remember what the estimated delivery is for the navy shell double monks? If memory serves, delivery is sometime in September?

Even though I am a proponent of having the suede strap, this makeup is awesome and I would not be opposed to having it look exactly like this as well.

I'm not opposed to this makeup either, I don't necessarily need the grey suede strap.

My only request is the full dainite sole (damn chicago winters!).

What do you guys think about a navy suede strap as opposed to the grey suede?

well, don't need to worry about this anymore, the 11.5UK ended up being a little bit too big. Maybe on the next restock I can try an 11UK

Yes, we'll only stock up to size 11UK. Most of our sales are in the 8 - 9.5UK zone, so we usually only bring in single pairs of size 10UK and up.

NAMOR's post is brilliant on this. But I find Navy to be an extremely versatile color - especially a very dark tone like the midnight calf that's being discussed. In many instances, it can be a stand-in for black, and looks great with grey, cream, tan, charcoal, and pale olive colors. I've seen guys wear dark navy shoes with black trousers and black suits too, and it's a cool, although non-traditional look IMO.

We're planning late Sept-October. The leather inventory was confirmed by Horween, but it's a bit up in the air as to when exactly they ship it. I'll be in touch with navy shell customers on any delays.

Ah sorry, not for the Navy Shell models, all of that leather is spoken for. We can come up with a new non-shell Austerity brogue soon though for an early November style.

Thanks

So far it sounds like most want to see this in a jodhpur correct? So what details (if we are in fact going with a jodhpur) would we want to see?

I'm in for:

  • Midnight calf
  • Jodhpur style
  • Dark edge trim (I prefer a dressier approach to this boot)
  • Danite sole
  • Navy or Grey suede strap
  • Rain, Inca, or Forest last are all fine with me though I think I would prefer the Rain last. (That carver chelsea boot is stunning, and I feel a jodhpur would benefit from a similar shape)

Any thoughts?

That navy jodhpur is made in the rain last. I think it would look best on that last
