Best quality sweatshirts available online these days?

What are the best quality sweatshirts available (online) from the US (so, excluding out of stock stuff, unless it's likely to be restocked shortly)? I'm looking for solid, classic colors (grey, navy,...). I have been browsing BiG and SE, and I'm just wondering if I'm missing anything.

Thanks,

JD

W+H Tiger Fleece is popular on SF, and obviously Uniqlo if you can get it proxied or shipped to you is cool too.

I like the Nike Loopwheeler sweatshirts too. You can find them on ebay pretty often. will run 100-150 or so

Don't have any experience myself, but The Real McCoys 12 oz is given the highest recommendation from the guys at Inventory, who I trust a lot. Would be steep with shipping from Canada, but it's probably the best out there.

I've almost ordered a Nike/Loopwheeler shirt from the online Nike store, just to see if Loopwheeler's fabric is worthy of the praise. I have other Japanese loopwheeled sweatshirts, but nothing from Loopwheeler.

CHCM and Barneys have Fil Melange Byrd sweats. I own two of them, and they are the softest sweatshirts I own. Pretty expensive, but Barneys went down to 60% off last season.

If you don't mind ordering from Canada, you should also check out the basic Reigning Champ crews.

Hickoree's has Velva Sheen sweats. Don't know much about them, but they look cool. Self Edge has/had some Strike Gold sweats. Kiya said they took sweatshirts to the next level. This might be some marketing tactics, but it's an option.

History Preservation has a really nice looking vintage red Buzz Rickson. Not the typical red that you see most of the time.

Here's what i just posted on the newly developed Strike Gold sweaters on Superdenim last week:
strike gold wins. i always felt that buzz rickson and real mccoy's made the best loopwheeled sweaters in the world, the only reason anybody should go for br over rm is the lower price br offers, and the only reason they're able to offer a lower price is because they produce more per year. then strike gold's version came along and it's game over. (i feel terrible saying that being a devoted buzz rickson fan and dealer, but i'm a hobbyist before anything)

I should've quoted you kiya. didn't mean to make it sound like you were blowin' smoke, but I havn't actually handled the Strike Gold sweats. just wanted to mention that you are pretty partial to their quality.

No problem at all. Ask anybody that owns one. If you're near one of our stores you should drop in and see them, anybody that's felt one in person instantly recognizes the difference in feel from a BR or RM one.

I'll put in a good word for Studio D'Artisan. Picked one up from BiG recently and it's my favorite. I've had BR in the past and also have W+H presently, both of which are nice, but SDA is my favorite. Haven't tried out the Strike Golds ever since they just came out, would love one of the navy ones sometime so hopefully there will be a restock.

A restock would be nice. Just ordered the last strike gold white one, the soft as a kitten part was what sold me. That and it's getting to be freezing.

There's more coming next week. SELA still has some left though.
