Not in the least. In fact, I said exactly the opposite. If I had to wager, I would say you've never been shit faced in your life, or at most one or two times.

I misread, in that case.

I can assure you that I've definitely been trashed more than a few times, but I'm always responsible enough to stumble back home or call a cab (or at least roll into a nice leafy ditch for the night).

Well, there's trashed...when no one should drive...and then that area between "legally drunk" and "should not be driving." But that's a whole other topic and Imp was very correct about the issues.

How does this equal the diversity you speak of? Or do you merely consider diversity to mean "not white".

Diversity is overrated and in Portland, it doesn't matter much because any diverse (racial, anyway) populations tend to stick to pretty predictable areas of town. Portland is very well known for its artsy hipster unemployed culture (Portlandia is only mildly exaggerated), so if you are moving and aren't worried about a job, you'll fit right in. About as much different as I can think of from Florida and you can't get much farther away in the Lower 48.

I would take Chicago out though. It does not compare to the west coast. Although the people are nicer. But the weather totally sucks.

Not being snarky, but why is Baton Rouge a draw? The only time I have been there the only really notable thing to me was how incredibly bad the traffic was for not being that big of a city. I get Biloxi because it's a coast city, btu why does Baton Rouge have particularly many southern belles?
