Wife's watching CMA Country Christmas lot's of good stuff for a noob

I thought that brown was for farmers. Evidently black is for people who sing to farmers.

No wonder everyone here hates black. This is a train wreck of style.

There has to be 1 multimillionaire country signer that dresses better than a middle school kid trying to play grown up.

Ill used dinner jackets are, as far as I can tell, a staple at country music events. Not that I watch them mind you, just from the pictures I've caught here and there.

Has country music ever been known for being well dressed? To the average country music fan, putting on a clean wife-beater is dressing up.

In defense of country music, I'll mention that Trace Adkins has rocked some really nice suits in a couple of his videos. He had a great cream-colored 3-piece linen suit in "I'm Gonna Marry for Money." Don't know if it was his choice or a costume consultant's, though.

At least, the attire of most country singers these days is a good deal less awful than the garish apparel they used to sport 50-odd years ago.

And yet country music as a whole is infinitely worse. Super commercialized and awkwardly "pop" sounding. Give me Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. At least they had talent.

Reckon ah better put on a clean unnershirt--thet is, ef'n ah had one!

In point of fact, I am a fan of country music. Its fan base is so ubiquitous these days that the notion that its fans are predominantly redneck hicks living in Passel O' Toads, Tennessee, seems very out of date.
