I hope there will be a spring/summer version of the 3-button blazer in some darker fabric compared to this years very bright linen.
The blue tweed 3-button in small just popped up in the bay! Would be too tight for me and i thought i let you guys know.

Wonder if anybody has bought the winter Donegal wool jacket and can help with sizing ? I went to a few of my local stores and tried on as many jackets as i could and without exception a UK40 EU50 fit me wearing a shirt and thin sweater under them, which going of there website would make it a medium pit to pit 20". I don't want it to look too tight but not baggy either , my chest is 381/2" and i'm 5.10" tall , any thoughts would be appreciated . By the way they only have this jacket in a small and medium , and i have sent the company a email but theres no substitute for first hand imfo
Regards

P2P measurements on the outerwear seem really tight for the listed size. A 42 is 21 inches p2p? That would be skin tight on a true 42.

yes that's my concern too for the cord lapelless jacket, the L sizing would be fine if not for the 21 inches width

That's because they use the traditional English system of measurement where the number is the PtP. Hence 40 is 20 inches across.

Keep that in mind Frigiliana a store 40r is going to be a real 42 or more likely 44. I have the linen three button and the mediums perfect for my 39 inch chest. Getting a layer under would really depend on the thickness. Something thin would be fine or better yet a vest.

Interesting, I'd never heard of that. Looks like I'm sort of out of luck with most of this stuff then. Wish they made an XL in some of this, although then the shoulders would be too big by the looks of it.

Thanks for the info Tadite , i got a nice reply from S.E.H Kelly explaining the same thing as you , i gave the same details and they agreed that a medium sounded right for me. I had a annoying experience with a Woolrich Woolen Mills jacket i bought from Yoox so i try to get as much info as i can now before buying , thanks for all who responded . Tadite do you know if they measure the length of the jacket from the bottom of the collar to the hem or from the top ?

I'm assuming bottom of collar as that's the normal standard. Just send a quick email. That s a nice quick but important question.
