I mean they are pretty much just slippers, the feet will stretch the leather to fit anyways, do you *really* need your feet to be

measured and have a pair custom made for you? unless you want them in a very specific design that is not found on RTW shoes why

spend the money on a plain pair? (unless of course the price for a pair of bespoke loafers is lower (lets say $1000), then

maayybbeee, but only still if you got the money to burn, cause you can get a RTW pair for $500).

Does anybody else think that Iroh and Reevolving are the same person?

“It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.”

9 replies and not one serious answer? the thread was started to answer a serious question, if you would take a look at my started threads you would see that i am looking for footwear to wear with shorts and am currently considering loafers. lets get back on topic guys

The answer is quite obvious. It's the same reason you do custom anything.

You either can't find a good fit.
You can't find what you want.
You want to make something unique.

If anything, I think its more necessary than a bespoke lace up since fit is so important on a loafer. They don't just stretch to fit.

My explanation:

If the universe is infinitely large with an infinite number of planets, and the probability of life inhabiting a planet is non zero, then it stands to reason that the probability of there being at least one populated world is vanishingly close to one. The probability of two populated worlds would similarly be vanishingly close to one. The probability of a large number but not infinite number of populated worlds would also be extremely close to one. This hypothesis is easily testable if one makes the number of worlds a finite but extremely large number and the inverse probability of a similar magnitude to this number.

Something happens when you have two infinities, i.e. one infinity the universe, the other infinity the minimum test number of populated worlds, but the infinity of the universe being a "larger" infinity (i.e. a functional that ramps to infinity quicker than the population) - there is a fixed probability that is not 1, nor zero tongue.gif.

One cannot translate probability to a fixed deterministic number, but if one applies the law of large numbers reverse engineering it, we will infer a fixed number of populated worlds, which when divided by infinity will result in zero.
