I ordered Taylor Stitch's 10 oz indigo Cone Mills Flatout shirt (http://taylorstitch.com/products/indigo-cone-flatout).
The denim shirts come in three colors:

This was a gift from my boss. I kept it for a few months before I just sold it.
It is pretty solid. Made in USA. You can't beat the quality.
If I needed a sterling silver money clip I would buy a...
I just picked this up and I am pretty pleased. Just what I expected.
I am pleased with the Bark. However, I wish it was a little darker.
A great deal for $35. Comparable to other belts in the...
I am a thin build girl with skinny hip and bums, I normally wear a size 25 in Paige denim, and thought I give the selvedge raw a try. The 24 of New Standard is too bulky in the high waist leg,...
Hmm..I don't see any peal shoes on sale on the website.
They always have sales this time of year. Wait till around Christmas and check their website and the thread here that tracks their sales. Edited by Patek - 12/1/11 at 10:45am
Boss gets a lot of hate, but by and large the product isn't that bad, just overpriced. I have a pair of Boss shoes bought on sale and they're comfortable, have a sleek desing and the branding is discreet. Not all Boss is junk, they actually make some decent pants in a pretty wide selection of cuts.
You know, people say it's overpriced... but is it? The retail isn't anywhere near the retail on higher end brands... If you're comparing retail prices to what you CAN get higher end brands at, then it's overpriced... but retail to retail, it's really not.
I own almost exclusively AE; one pair of Cole Haans. I can understand if you don't like the stodgier look of AE. All the J&Ms I've seen, however, have fairly similar designs/shapes to AE, just with much crappier construction and materials. If you're bent on limiting your choices to J&M and Boss Black, it should be an easy choice: Boss Black. Some of the Boss Black lace ups on Zappos don't look awful.
I have made the Bostonia, Clarks, Ecco, Cole Haan, Johnston & Murphy, Boss mistake already. Take it from me, if you are serious about getting proper dress shoes, save your money until you can get something that you like, and is well made. Too much money spent on shoes that don't fit properly and look like rubbish after a couple of wears...

A big +1. I have AE's that still look great after seven years. And I treat my shoes pretty poorly.
I think enough time has been spent on Styleforum debating the relative merits of Boss, and I'm not trying to completely hijak this thread. Now that that's out of the way, comparing Boss retail prices to the retail prices of its direct competitors, it's my experience that Boss charges a premium.
Getting back on point, in my limited experience with Boss shoes (1 pair of laceups) I don't have any complaints. I usually wear AE which has better contruction and materials, but it should as it's at a higher price point than what I paid for the Boss shoes.
Sorry you had a bad experience on your HB shoes Patek.
I have about half a dozen pair of BOSS shoes and they most certainly can be re-soled though I have not yet had the need myself.
One cannot truthfully make blanket statements about their quality. it is 'hit or miss', depending on who made what for them.
As for your issue of corrected grain, again, dubious. Some do, others don't. Other, higher end brands (Church's, etc) that also use cg so this isn't the issue.
I have asked on here before as to what company actually manufactures shoes for BOSS. To date no one has provided an answer.
I do agree with you that Crockett and Jones would be a better idea altogether.
