Washington D.C. and NYC. I am in the industry and still people feel awkward about clothing outside of their work. It would be nice to be hanging out watching MMA or Soccer with a group of guys and hear someone talk about a new sweater they want to kop and the other guys get excited too. Not look at him like is gay or an alien.
If you have that kind of group friends that's great. I am jealous.

More than likely Alan didn't think he'd be filmed from the waist down. Once told he would be, it was probably too late or he didn't give a shit. That's just Alan Flusser for you.

Flusser is all about developing a personal style. He's not about walking into RL and buying every Black Label item there is. Alan is a very intelligent and eccentric individual and normally dresses to suit that personality. There's no question that he knows he is breaking many of his own rules. He's simply trying to have fun. Most folks in his situation would become so bored with clothing by now that they'd wear Levis and OCBDs every day. I just think his wild manner of dress is his way of keeping himself from being too bored.

And concerning runway fashion and celebrity dress, he's absolutely correct. Most men dress poorly as almost a defensive response to the utter garbage that "fashion" experts say they should wear. Everyone was well dressed in the 30s and 40s because the "fashion" was traditional and elegant and looked good on all men.
