Looking at his outfit, not sure if he's one to talk.

Tony, For the first half of the video, I was disagreeing with you because I thought he was wearing a suit, then I saw the "bleach stained" jeans or what ever he was wearing for pants and I had to agree with you.

What is going on with those pants?

When I watched a clip from My Best Friend's Wedding on Youtube this morning, I thought that would be the four gayest minutes of my day. Oops. I was wrong.

I have to agree with him on the Thom Browne statements. I appreciate people trying to be artistic, but some of those things are abortions.

The funny thing is that the guy is really knowledgeable and has a great viewpoint. Gives good advice.

Why does he look like shit?

What he's saying is fine in and of itself, but those jeans look ridiculous with that jacket.

abortions to who? You? Who are you to judge? Oh, I forgot this is style forum where everyone is the "King of Fashion". Those so called "abortions" get him press and more press. That press turns into sales.
It's fashion, if everyone dressed the same and churned out the same shit season after season what would Style forum have to talk about.

That isn't fashion. You can call it art and I'm ok with that, but having people walk around with feathers and headgear doesn't make it clothes. What Flusser said was that males in general are turned off by that kind of "fashion". I agree.

Maybe the guys you hang out with. That's the problem with American and it's perception of fashion. Talking about ANY type of clothing with other men shouldn't be taboo. Men should be able to speak freely about clothes. Whack ass clothes or every day clothes.
Wouldn't it be refreshing to get compliments about what you wear and actually carry on conversations about a new sweater, suit. or jean. Wouldn't you like that freedom. It's not costume clothing that's the problem. It's how our culture treats menswear and how it's viewed.
Men should be able to geek out over a super 120's 2 ply shirting or a 2/28 extra long cashmere . You can geek out over beer, football , or cars. Why not fashion?
That's one of the reasons you are on this forum, correct?

"you never see Michael Douglas dress well in a, you know, private situation."

"if you have someone choosing your clothes, how well dressed can you be?"

What I'm saying, and I think Flusser is too, is that one of the reasons that we can't is because of these horrible looking halloween costumes that are paraded out on the runways.
This reminds me of the parody that the Onion did awhile back. http://www.theonion.com/articles/gaypride-parade-sets-mainstream-acceptance-of-gays,351/

It's the same principle. When you have things that go soooooooooo far outside what would normally be worn then it turns people off the whole idea.
