I wondered how you wore scarves with different clothing. With a sports coat I find a European knot or even a once around knot bulks up my neck and detracts from the silhouette with a jacket.
Do you guys therefore buy shorter scarves for use with sports coats, so you can just drape it over the neck and have the two ends lie under the jacket?
Similarly when you wear coats and overcoats which have a higher neck and therefore are not spoilt by a thicker European knot, do you buy longer scarves to go with coats? I've found a Euro knot looks quite poor with a shorter scarf.
