For the record, I don't mean for this to come across as vendor bashing; actually, I'm looking for advice. Has anyone dealt with Topman Online (Topman UK)? I bought a green Harris Tweed sport coat which, despite how nice it was, did not fit well. So, I returned it on Monday the 14th and it was received by the warehouse on Wednesday the 16th. On the website, Topman says it may take 2-3 business days for the refund to appear in your bank account. Well, a week passed and no refund was granted.

I called Topman on Thanksgiving morning (the Brits don't celebrate Turkey Day) and the lady said she would go ahead and process the return (why did I have to remind her?). I said, "ok, let me see if the refund appears on my bank statement" then she told me that it would take 2-3 business days for the money to appear there (Tuesday, Wednesday). Well, lo and behold, it is Wednesday and the money has yet to be refunded to my account. Suffice to say, the call tomorrow will not be pleasant.

I don't know what it has been such a complicated experience dealing with them. When I bought the blazer, they had a promotion for "free shipping on orders of over $150," which the website failed to automatically honor. It would take 2 calls and an e-mail to undo that shipping charge. On top of that, they have a UK and US website -- if you order from the latter, you're lead to believe you won't be subject to custom and conversion charges, not the case. In all fairness, Topman doesn't withhold that information, but you have to search the website for it.
