Important question about ray ban wayfarer's

on my way tomorrow to buy a pair of ray ban wayfarer 5022.

what was the first original color made black or tortouise ?

would be great if someone could answer this soon

also what would you guys pick which color..

and the 5022's are the original size right now the 5418

I wouldn't worry so much about which color or which particular style is the "original".

Buy the pair that looks best on you. Some people look better in black while others look better in tortoise (same for differing sizes and shapes).

With the trendiness of Ray Ban's, I'm seeing a lot of people wearing pairs that are "in" but don't look good on them.

Fail thread. But tortoise all the way. I usually wear some B&L tortoise wayfarers from the 80s that my mom used to rock. Tortoise frames look killer with navy suits
