Quick question: Shoulder seam to cuff translates to ...

I'm purchasing a suit online and the shoulder seam to cuff says 24.5. I'm sure there is some "let" but I havent received an answer.

If I typically wear a 16.5 x 33" dress shirt, does this mean the 24.5 shoulder to cuff will be too short? I know every jacket will be different but I'm curious to know.

depends on the shoulder to shoulder measurement

if the suit shoulder measure 18" across ... then half of that is 9"
9+24.5 = 33.5

Ah. The shoulder to shoulder is 19.5", which seem high for a 42R. I guess this would suffice.

You can't compare jacket sleeves by using your shirt sleeve measurement. There is no correlation between the two.
