Anticipating Summer: Wardrobe additions

Gents,
I seek advice for commissions in preparation for the upcoming DC Spring/Summer season (for those unaware, DC can be brutally hot in the summer). I have already decided I will be doing a cream linen DB blazer. I have a very lightweight airforce blue blazer. I have some mid-grey linen pants, some natural linen pants, a couple of cream-ish cotton trousers, and a blue/white seersucker trouser. Further suggestions? I was thinking of doing a mid-grey fresco suit - if so, could that jacket be worn as a separate?
Thanks in advance

edit: I have occasional use for a suit, but mostly I'm wearing SC/trousers, sometimes with a tie.

I don't know how you could wear a mid-grey coat, it is not something I would do. You could do a blazer suit in wheat or brown fresco, this way you can wear the jackets separately.

grey herringbone tweed is a fall/winter staple, no? I thought maybe a grey fresco could be its S/S equivalent, but maybe that's misguided

Gray doesn't seem very summery to me either. Although if it were a very light gray it could work, I have a very light gray ultra light weight summer suit that I wear a lot.

I wonder if you could consider an additional shade of blue or perhaps a tan/wheat/khaki.

I was thinking something similar to this? Probably with light-colored buttons to casual-ify, summer-ify, and un-suit-jacket-ify the jacket

Also likely with patch pockets for same reason

I think a shade of blue would be a good choice, the wheat sounds good in theory but I think it looks blah in person. You may also want to consider a cotton/linen blend. I have a chicolate brown cotton/linen that I am going to make up as patch pocket suits.

The fresco idea sounds pretty good for a dc summer.

This was my thought...and given that I already have a blue blazer, I thought grey...but maybe I'll just look through everything they have and see. What about ideas for odd trousers?

like where to buy a RTW garment in fresco? Or you want to buy the fabric and give to your tailor?

I received a light gray crispaire suit a few months ago. The jacket has a welt breast and patch side pockets. It's OK for wear as a sport coat, but not ideal. I once saw an open-weave hopsack that might have been better. I think a light gray wool/linen blend could work well.

I just ordered a dark brown fresco "blazer suit." I hope that works out well. I was originally wanting a dark brown linen, but couldn't find a good linen. A cotton-linen blend might even be better. I'm jealous. Although, part of why I went for the dark brown fresco is that I have some twill in light stone and dark khaki waiting to be made into blazersuits.

Fresco is kind of similar to a wool/linen in texture but without so much of the wrinkling problem, right?
