Oh give me a break. Half of my shoes are used and if you are worried about fungus just spray some disinfectant/anti-fungal spray in them, let them dry out for a few days and wear clean socks. I know of no one who sells shoes that are a current part of their rotation and this means that these shoes have sat in closets for months if not years. As far as the leather being molded to someone elses foot: this is only a problem if you are buying well-worn shoes.

aqualung is just a troll, safe to ignore

re: used shoes, if it's been worn 5 times, it's basically new. best way to buy imo, sweetest spot of the value curve

Nobody does that crap. What fool is going to spend $100 "recrafting" a $300 AE shoe? The only reason that AE even does this is because it's hard to find a good shoemaker these days.

If you have a dozen shoes it would take 10 years to wear the sole out on all of them under normal use and at 10 years old it simply is not worth recrafting any shoe when you can just buy a new one or find some local shoemaker to put new soles on for $40, heels are cheap and you can do that if necessary. Once is enough.

These people on here who wear out soles in 2 months never learnt to walk correctly and are dragging and shuffling their feet. They were obviously brought up on flat soled trainers and are walking on their soles (joggers run on their soles) but when you walk you walk on the heels. You heel comes down, the foot pivots to the sole and lays flat on the pavement. The other foot does the same and then you lift off with the first foot. Very little scraping of the sole since it is just laying flat on the pavement. And if the front of the sole is worn it means you're dragging your feet which is how most proles walk. You need lessons in how to walk correctly.

The reason that the obviously poor boys buy used shoes on here is because they can't afford $1k so they buy some used Lobb believing that they can fool people into believing they are a higher class than they are. Doesn't work boys. No matter what you wear we can peg you in a minute.
This is why you get ignored at C&J or Saks by the salesmen no matter what you're wearing. They too can spot a poseur who is only going to waste their timelol8%5B1%5D.gif

Wow, aren't you special. My guess is you spend more than you make and are in debt, OR, you spend a lot of money on clothes while you live in a dump. I'll bet you don't give much to charity or do much to help mankind. Pretty selfish are you?

Obviously, the generalizations I just made are every bit as ridiculous as those you made.

You're an idiot and just want to rationalise the fact that you're a loser who buys used shoes. And btw, if I were to buy a new pair of shoes everyday until I died I couldn't spend all of my money.

I've given more to the poor  in one day than you will in a lifetime. And yes, I live in a dump in Bedford,  NY lol8[1].gif

When I was poor in college and law school I bought used shoes. I never developed fungus or anything like that. Now I am able to afford new shoes and I am happier for it.

I have two advanced degrees and one of them is in law  and I have never known even a lower class student to wear used shoes. What college did you attend? The College of Podunk or Dogpatch U?

Personally, I've never bought a used pair of shoes and don't plan on doing so... hey but that's just me...

RTW were made for the average foot. Bespoke shoes take into account foot differences and are made to fit an exact foot. It is like buying a jacket that has been made for somone's crocked shoulders and different length arms and expecting it to fit you perfectly because you are also a size 44.

I think that wearing any used clothing is pretty gross.
