So even though I can wear this jacket, I find myself reluctant to wear it because it is a little tight in the chest/arms for me. I should have ordered a 50

i just remeasured and they are exactly the same as the stock size 48:

I added +1" to the sleeve length for extra stacks, and do also note that the sleeve length is measured from the top of the collar to the end of the sleeve

srue no problem, I would have done this the first time but I was hesitant because of this from mr. toj himself "we can’t find shoulder measurements using raglan sleeves. You may use a raglan sleeve jacket for finding all other measurements but the shoulders, if it fits you well."
-in regards on how to determine your size from a jacket, so just a word of caution. Also, it's hard to measure raglan sleeves because there is no seam but this is what I got: ~17.75" +or- .25"
