Shoto quality, opinions?

so i bought these shoto's 1 month ago at barneys, and i wore them a few times, and the shoe started coming apart? I called barneys where i bought them and their manager said he'd take a look and fix the issue.

questions is, would anyone keep these long term based on the wear and tear i already have? and is this normal and why is it happening? How can i get my cash back from barneys?

My $500 Shotos showed me how crappily made they were last January in Chicago, when one sole completely separated from the boot.

The head shoe buyer from BNY said that Shoto was really a tiny operation and that they were hard to get in contact with. And that he could point me somewhere to get them repaired. So I just had them repaired locally and didn't sweat it. But I surely won't buy them again.

i bought a pair for ~400 this season and i like them. construction looks fine and it seems to be blake or blake rapid construction. outer is horsehide which i thoguht was kind of cool.

only time will tell tho
