How can I be In style while still being cheap? - Page 2

Buy second hand from the internet or thrift stores, especially if you're in no rush to build a wardrobe. And don't try to buy things even if a couple measurements are off; you will regret it. Patience is key.

Levis, T shirts, an OCBD, a pea coat, a corduroy jacket, a few sweaters...classics. the same thing we wore in college in the early 70's

He mentions Euros.

Levis aren't cheap in Europe.

Ebay etc will mean shipping and if it's coming from outside the EU it'll mean customs. Assuming he has no problems and needs to return them.

To the OP you're problem is you mention having no time and no money. Most of the suggestions mean spending time instead of money.

Wow thanks for your great replies! I will look into every suggestion. I will try to find the article about this issue on esquire as mentioned above. I'm in Europe.

I was trying to find one, but I couldnt. I went to the store and realized it didnt include shoes. The guy got like 5 dress shirts, 3 sweaters, 3 pairs of jeans, 2 kahkis, and three blazers for under 1000 dollars. The issue costs 5 dollars, so its the price to pay. Its all like MUJI, uniqlo, camicissima, etc. I guess for shoes include a pair of AE seconds and clarks DB's and youre basically set.

Right, but anyone resourceful enough can find classics on sale somewhere or good quality similar items. My brother-in-law dressed very well in college by shopping sales and outlets and he had very little money. If the OP wants to look great but isn't willing or able to put in the time to research then it won't happen.

Wear the same clothes all of the time like Steve Jobs, that will be your trademark. And no one will even know that you have only 1 pair of pants and 1 shirt lol8[1].gif
