Thoughts on this Balmoral Boot - Page 2

For those who don't like the plain toe, the company also makes a couple of other different types of balmoral boot, with a captoe and a wingtip:

- "Marceau" in brown

- "Marceau" in black

- "Ambroise" in prune; and

- "Ambroise" in black.

I didn't name the maker in the original post because I was hoping to get opinions based on the specs and observations of the photo. In the hopes that people would have more objective opinions.

In this price point these are 'fashion boots' in my opinion. And I knew that some people would turn up their nose just because they aren't from one of the 'approved brands'.

But yes, it's Septieme Largeur as mentioned above.

Sorry for my slow reply - was out chopping down a Christmas tree.

Personally if I were looking for a boot in these styles I'd go with C&J or something in shell cordovan. I'm not sure these septieme boots would be equal to the kind of wear I would expect to give a true boot.

The one I put up in the original pic is more of a 'Dandy' boot that I wouldn't expect to wear on the street a lot.

But that's just my opinion.

not gonna happen. spoozy already introduced the markowski version, which is a fair bit cheaper. it's not so well made, though
