Hey all,

I have been lurking on here for awhile with no account but finally decided to join, just wanted to say hi. I have been searching around for a RLBL 42 short in a solid, preferably navy or charcoal (cant do black). No luck. Its much harder than I thought, and almost gave in to dropping 1600 at the RL mansion in NY...but with all these deals around the holidays I figured I would hold out.

To further complicate matters I wasnt able to find a RLBL suit in 42 short in my color preference but picked up a pin striped RL purple label suit in a 42 regular. Even though it wasnt the suit I wanted i still bought it just because it was a decent deal. I guess there really is no point in spending that kind of money on a suit that isnt exactly what you want. I guess ill just buy the black label (if the store ever gets a damn shipment). Im happy to have this rare gem of a suit but I dont think its for me. Not even sure what to do with it.

if you can afford it, and it fits you well and looks nice, keep it. if not, return it.

Thank you for the welcome. And yes, I probably should return it since its not exactly what i need/a little out of my price range. Although, I did get a good deal on it. Maybe ill ebay it to make a quick 50 bucks haha.

try selling on the buy and sell sub forum first, no fees like ebay.

Sure. I think I will do that. One question. I read the rulebook and it states .... "For example, please do not ask for “personal payments,” from Paypal."...

If a seller cant use paypal as a means to receive money then how and what means of payment do we use?

I thank you in advance for your help.

I ended up just putting the Purple Label Suit on ebay. If anyone can inform me as how to set it up an auction on here it would be greatly appreciated.

I think the board requires a certain number of posts and/or days to pass since account creation before an account to post to buy and sell.  I think that's intended to establish some accountability and to prevent fraud.

I'm confused that you say you have started a bay auction but that you are still interested in starting an auction here.

I'd love to see a picture of your 42R. Can you post one?

OP, you can't do an auction here. You put an item for sale at a price.

Personal payment is also known as gift. A seller can use paypal but can't require that a buyer falsely categorize the payment as a gift.

Typical SF mentality

Is the typical SF mentality a bad thing? :)

But anyways, eb*y gives you the option to terminate an auction (i think). I was just interested in getting rid of the suit promptly and efficiently in a way that would benefit both me and the buyer. If i return it chances are the RL store will probably just sell it for 2x or 3x the price i got it for (now that the holiday deals are over). No benefit to me or the future buyer in that case. I think i can sell it though at a price that would be a great bargain to the buyer (way lower than retail), and yet allow me to clear a small profit for my "troubles". Win win.

Ill send you a pic. If i can get access ill put it on SF for my buy it now price...
