Ray Ban Wayfarer 2140

are the ray ban 2140's the same now as they were in the 80's
if not what is different about them
thinking about buying a retro 80's pair on ebay
but dont wanan waste the money if they are the same exact thing or the new ones are made better
i own the 2140 54mm
looking for risky business style

- The 2140's are made in Italy, the old ones, 5022's, were made in USA
- The frames are slightly different (the USA made ones are a little bigger, barely noticeable)
- The right lens of the 2140's have the white Ray Ban logo, the 5022's do not
- The temples of the 2140's have Ray Ban logos on them, the 5022's have metal studs

Other than that stuff, they're not different. Both very nice sunglasses.

could you take pics with them side by side that would be great
i own the 2140 54mm would these be the same as the risky business style
if you can take pics please do front, side anything you wanna take
are they basically the same exact glasses minus the logos

They are basically the same besides the logos. The old ones, you can find on Ebay for about 40-50 dollars used. They do have mint condition ones on Ebay. but they sell for the same price, if not more than the new pairs.
