I recently had a dress shirt custom made by a tailor, but my partner has said that the shirt is too tight especially on the sides.

Does anyone else think this shirt is too tight and slim? I have a slim build.

I think it looks fit even though it looks a little tight, but it is not that bad.

I think it looks good if you're standing naturally in the photo.

The real test is whether the buttons spread and show your stomach when it's tucked in and you sit down.

I guess the other test is if it rips :)

I also like slim fit shirts, but in my opinion it looks a bit too tight.

Do you feel comfortable in it? That's the main thing. You can evidently move your arms well enough to take the picture so I wouldn't be concerned.

If you're going to keep it un-tucked, I think it's too tight near the hips, which is further accentuated by the length of the shirt. But, if you're going to tuck it in, I think it's the perfect slimness. I have a shirt that's just like that from modern tailor, but I tuck my shirts in so it fits perfectly. If untucked, it looks just like yours.

I think it will look awesome if you tuck it in.

It is not too tight if it is made from a stretchable fabric, it looks like one of those 'muscle shirts' with a collar and buttons. Also, how is this a dress shirt in this color?

It's fine if you want to look like John Travola in Saturday Night Fever. Be sure to get some flared trousers in white to go with it

In the words of Floyd from that Wall LP,

"tight as a tourniquet"

but in a good way

As long as you dont feel robotic in your movements, then it is OK. This is not the kind of shirt though that will respond kindly to any weight gain.

IMHO way too tight. It may look decent while standing upright (and there is already button pulling around the hips) but it will look weird when you try to sit down. Or breathe :) Why do you want this shirt to be so tight? It's not a diver's suit. :)

You have to wear it, therefore you decide what's comfortable for you and how you like to look, though.
