i forgot who made my favorite loafers

i bought them around 2003-2005 at barney's on madison ave in manhattan.  it was on the 3rd floor (or whatever the floor is that sells designer men's shoes and has that really laid-back guy who has worked there forever).  i think it was an italian maker- for sure a brand i didn't recognise.  the soles are rubber, but the heels i think were leather.  the current heels are the 3rd or 4th i've had put on by now.  i think i paid $180 or maybe $280.  i remember this because i had low expectations when i bought them and didn't bother remembering details.  in any case, i've worn them about every day since then and i'd like to stock up on them if i can ever find them again.  here are some photos:

man, there ain't nothing left inside of them i can read.  not even the size- which is an additional matter i'll worry about later.  maybe i should just wake up early enough to call the store and see if the dude is still around.  i'd be surprised if he weren't.

btw, i love your foto.  but that's not you, right?  my guess is phil spector at his trial.

jokes aside, what would you do in my situation?  i really like the shoes, and all the shoes i see these days are so dainty, i couldn't imagine walking around in them while anyone was looking.  to say nothing of their ability to hold up to several years of wear.

maybe there's some other shoe i can buy i guess.  if you (or anyone) have (has) a suggestion, i'd be very glad to hear it.  or if anyone knows how to find old shoe models, i'd love to stock up on the prada rubber-souled leather shoes from 2000.  they have very square toes and heels, and i think i saw them in black as well as a somewhat ronald mcdonaldesque crimson color.  both pretty shiny.  maybe patent leather.
