I am looking for a black zip up boots, do any of the high quality shoe makers (the likes of C&J, Alden, Allen Edmonds, G&G etc) make a zip up boot? or would I have to resort to bespoke (out of my price range) or Streetwear&Denim brands (which are of questionable quality). post Pics of boots and names if available.

I'm not sure on C&J / EG (I'm 99% sure they don't offer a zip up model) but Paul Smith stocks quite a lot:

Also Tom Ford has a few zip up models:

Bruni Magli, Bally, Gucci  etc

AE used to make them and I had a few pair back in the 70's. Both single side zip and a double zip. I just asked the owner to bring back the York so we'll have to see.

Alfred Sargent - Grieves.

This boot will never go in or out of style in my opinion.

I didn't know that. I have the catalogue and look online too. They never go out of style. The ones I had from AE would look just as good today if I didn't throw them all awaybaldy[1].gif

so are zip up boots timeless classics or something that is in vogue right now?

what is the appeal of zip up boots? i was thinking they would fit tight around the ankle more so than any other type of boot and that would result in a very fitted and sleek look. why do you like them?
