What kind of pants with 'raw steel' Corduroy blazer for a New Years Eve party?

I just ordered this "Corduroy 14-wale sportcoat in Ludlow fit" from J. Crew. The color is "raw steel". I plan on wearing it with the chambray shirt below.

My question is:

A) Does this look alright (I believe it does, but I am just verifying)? And what pants should I wear with it - "acorn" colored chinos (pictured below), or gray/black/navy slacks? Jeans are a no-go for this party.

B) Any other tips welcome. Tie or no tie, and what color? Shirt tucked or untucked? Dark brown shoes or black?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I have this jacket.

It works pretty well with just about everything except for more corduroy.

I usually wear mine with a pair of brown tweed pants or jeans.

Jeans are a no-go but chinos are ok? I really think you should wear jeans but if not then skip the chinos and wear some dress pants.

I don't know. Maybe I am thinking too much into it or am just flat out wrong.

But my wife is wearing a nice little dress, so I was wanting to 'dress up' a little more than jeans and thought chinos would be a little more so. Maybe I'm wrong though.

With that shirt and jacket, would you suggest gray or black dress pants?

Appreciate it.

I am still waiting for it to come, but I am guessing you're a fan of the jacket since getting it?

If your wife is wearing a dress, you should definitely wear dress pants. Grey over black.

Corduroy is probably more casual than a pair of nice jeans, so this jacket being OK while jeans aren't is kind of weird.

Khakis are probably fine. I'd avoid wearing grey pants.

For a better perspective, please describe the party venue and your future fellow party goers.

Here is the venue: http://seethefalls.com/

It's St. Louis area so it may be a mix of older and younger crowd dressed up, and a lot of 25 year olds with jeans, boots, and Hollister button downs.

You should step it up for New Years Eve.

The chambray shirt is too workwear. Change it for a dress shirt.

Dark pants. Black shoes.

Wear a tie. Be bold and wear a bow tie.

Something in this vain:

Appreciate the help. What color of shirt/tie would you suggest if I were to go this route. I have a couple ideas, but def. would like to hear some different perspectives. Would you wear something over the shirt and under the jacket?

It should be OK but you have not told us what type of fucntion you are going to. Assuming however it is informal, more or less anything goes.

No tie with this lot.

I honestly don't know what to completely expect but I posted a link to the facility above. seethefalls.com.

It's one of those buy a ticket with a live band and DJ. We're here in the midwest, so at this event the age range will be 21+ and some will be dressed up and other will be wearing jeans, boots, and a Hollister button down or polo. However, I would guess most will be dressed up somebit.
