Let's talk Santa suits for a minute. Santacon (or as we call it in Nashville: Santa Rampage) is coming to your town and local watering holes in the coming weeks. You will need a Santa suit. You may also want one for the company holiday party or to wear around your nieces and nephews this season.
So you have a decision to make: cheap throwaway made in China number from Targét, or real suit you can hang in the closet and wear year after year. I'm considering the latter, but would love to buy something I can pull off at the occassional holiday cocktail party as well. Something maybe a bit more fitted than the usual tent of a Santa suit.
Thus: a red or burgundy, non-crushed, velvet suit, preferably single breasted, two button, and well fitting. Does such an animal exist off the rack? Can I find one for sale online that's not hideous or of unknown vintage and condition? I'd consider having it made, next year. But I'd love to find something this year.
Thoughts? Am I crazy? Is Santa only supposed to appear fat and in cheap polyester plush?
