Cloths for the Skinny!

Hello,

Let’s start by saying I’m admittedly a fashion disaster.  I bought some dungarees once because they looked good on the mannequin.  If it weren’t for the huge amount of laughter I received before leaving the house I would have ventured outside in them as well.

Basically I’m getting a bit fed up as the (majority of) clothes I wear make me look far skinnier than I actually am. Don’t get me wrong I’m still quite slim, but I look far less so when I’m naked or topless.  Some of my clothes though make me look totally like Kyle from Roadtrip, and others make me look much more filled out. I’m somewhere between the mesomorph-endomorph end of the scale, but more of an endomorph for sure.

My current gym time is spent rehabilitating an injury so I can’t try to bulk up doing that at present.  In a few weeks I will be able to though so that should but help. I eat a great deal (4000 cals p/d) but it’s mostly healthy.  I’m 6ft and have a 33” (why can’t I just be one bigger or smaller, nothing fits damn in-between size) waist.  Maybe my image/perception is down to my torse:leg ratio. Or maybe its because my shoulders are averagely broad but this is covered up with a large waist.

Anyways, like I said certain clothes make me look far better than others, but due to my zero knowledge of fashion I don’t know why.

For instance I’m from London and support Chelsea.  The latest white away strip (long sleeved) makes me look far better than any of my other football tops (which some of are also white and long sleeved).  But they are the same size.  So is it the fit, design or what? I now live in Manchester so going to the gym in a Chelsea top is pretty risky I suppose.

I also tried some slim fit trousers on recently for the first time.  Like smart work trousers.  They make me look considerably better than all my previous trousers which have been a slightly looser fit.  I though the looseness would cover the skinny image now encourage it. I was wrong I suppose?

Anyways if I’m missing something, or there are any rules, or you can give any advice or tips on what cloths to wear I’d greatly appreciate it.

Cheers,

Tim

You're going to need to post a picture if you want any helpful replies. If your clothes are making you look too skinny, maybe try clothes that are less slim?

Okay thanks budd.  I'll sort one out on the weekend and repost.  What sort of picture(s) though?

You're an Endo that's worried about looking too skinny? confused.gif

You then mention having a large waist.

Other then confusing the hell out of me what do you mean?

Endo big chest. Sloping shoulders. Round face. Shoulders not much bigger then chest. No defined waist. Often tending towards chubby.

Not too many Endos are worried about looking skinny. Unless you mean you've got boney legs.

Okay Mr Sarcasmo's!

But I mean shall I be wearing clothes in the photo (obviously I'm not going to take a picture of myself stark naked)?  I'm sure if I went to a Gok Wan type they'd strip me down and then match the fit and design to my body type.

Assuming I am wearing clothes should it be the ones I feel fit best, or worst? Or both.

Like I said I'm new to all this so no bullying yal!
