I just woke up to a snow blanketed city outside my bedroom window and need a new pair of winter boots asap!
I'm about to order the Quoddy sheepskin-lined Grizzly Boots but have a few questions.
First, I see that they are now being offered exclusively in white rubber Vibram soles. Are these more optimal for snowy winter wear than the gum crepe soles, which I think look much better? Can I put in a request in the comments section of my order for the honey crepe soles instead, and would they be water/weather-proof for a snowy Montreal winter or need to be resoled after 6 months?
Finally, my foot measures toe-to-heel 10" and approx. 3.7" width.
I understand these Quoddy's run about half a size small and I'm wondering what would be best suited for me; US 8.5? US 9?
According to their online size chart, 10" is an 8 which sounds like it could run small. Would 8.5 suffice based on my measurements?
Thanks!
