Dessert shoes, are they comfortable?

I go to college in the city and I also work in the middle of the day.  On good days, I walk about 5-6 miles a day and on rainy days even taking the subway I will walk 2-3 miles.  I have been looking for a nice pair of shoes to wear with really casual sportshirts, sweatshirts, my blazer, anything.  I usually wear dark jeans but also have a couple pairs of chinos.  Now as the weather is getting colder, I feel my light gray/white sneaks need to go away and I need something to replace them maybe a brown or dark brown suede shoe. 

 

I have really been looking into Clarks dessert shoes as they seem to be popular here but I'm not sure if they would work well.  Would anyone mind giving a bit of feedback.  Also, I'm not looking for leather.  Only canvas or suede.

Desert boots are very comfortable. The more you wear them, the better they get.

Yes, they usually are comfortable unless you have strange feet. Why do you question this?

I have a tan suede pair from cole haan. Maybe I've had them for like 2 years and they get worn bi-monthly. They are the most comfortable shoes I own.
