So -- just to clarify -- this doesn't seem to be the sample sale, correct? Does anyone happen to know when (or if) the sample sale in NYC will take place?

Greedy.
That was a one time deal. Asprey changed ownership after the previous group decided that a million (monthly) dollars worth of Fifth Ave. didnt translate to skyrocketing sales.

The horror! I recall going to two Asprey sample sales. Here's hoping for another one ...

Finally had the chance to pop by Asprey London today.
They had a load of EG three-eyelet derbies with straight quarters on the 202 last in what I think is their (tan) willow calf going for GBP 175...
It's been two weeks since the sale started but they had pretty much every size from 7 upwards. I would say though that the shoes didn't really appeal to me because:
(a) I prefer v-front derbies
(b) the quarters reach quite far down the vamp and so the balance doesn't look quite right to me on a short last like the 202.
Still, GBP 175 is an awfully good price for a pair of EGs...
