The way that I interpreted that (correctly or not) was that the 50% black (immigrant) "customers" who prowled in groups were perceived to be 'straw buyers' out to get as many of the choice products as possible for somebody else to sell on eBay at a profit.

Ahhh I see. Nice generalization.

it is obviously relevant information just like the price points- it is all part of the story

lets not get PCness get in the way of reporting things- e.g a famous man kills himself- should the fact that it was suicide be mentioned? - or should it be described as 'no suspicious circumstances'

that kind of PCness makes no sense to me

The people clearly had turned up for the sale.  The fact that they may have been standing together does not necessarily indicate that they had come together.  People who are not English and/or of Northamptonshire descent are allowed to purchase shoes to actually wear, not just to flip.

It's fine if you want to report what you observed.  However, that doesn't excuse you generalising and then stating any posts that calls you out on it as PCness.  For instance, how can you prove that most of the blacks did not come from the UK?  Just because they speak a different language doesn't mean to say they weren't born or brought up here.

I've have been to the Lobb Store (I agree with Ich_Dien about the main sales lady - but's that's another story) and I've seen Japanese people purchasing shoes. So what? It's the way that Lobb has allowed their sales to run that has allowed people to flip.  One member reported that a single customer can buy no more than 30 pairs of shoes.  Would that suggest only personal use in all cases?

Anyway, as you were.  I'm back to lurking.
