Black Friday/NYC Worth it?

   I've since relocated from the Island to Upstate NY. I'm coming down on Wednesday for the festivities and family. On either Friday or Saturday, I plan on making a shopping jaunt into the city with my friends. J. Crew (Liquor Store), RRL, Rag & Bone, etc. will be on the docket. As well as other SoHo targets. Given how it is regularly, Uniqlo may be a madhouse, yeesh!

I want to pick up a nice wooly blazer and/or meaty turtleneck-type thing. A few wares for the hoary winter that awaits me Upstate.

Without, dragging on: Do you guys think that it'll be worth it going in on Black Friday? My friends and I will not awake before Dawn and camp outside the stores, rather we will come in Mid-Morning, noon-ish. What I plan on purchasing may not be as heavily reduced -- at least I think(?) Should I expect depleted shelves and insufferable crowds, in say the Liquor Store and SoHo boutiques? Or does that apply more to the massive retail stores? If you were me, would you go in on Saturday instead? Thanks in advance. 

Thanks...do you think the Black Friday sales will linger into Saturday for the aforementioned stores? When I've called them, they've been pretty tight-lipped.

While shopping online may be the easiest and most economical option in most cases, everything will be left to empty conjecture. How does it fit? How will it look on me? A pixellated image will only impart so much information. True, if you had measurements you can take it to the next step, but J. Crew and Rag & Bone (for instance) don't provide measurements on their site.
