Recently on the web I stumbled across a designer which specialised i fall/winter clothing.
It was very distinct in that it was a single designer [male] , who took inspiration from British heritage clothing.
However, when I say british heritage clothing I mean , rugged outerwear and such , from the Imperial past.
more specifically there was one collection styled after British naval clothes, another year was styled after 'Explorers' in warmer parts. Yet another year the collection was styled on a Mountaineering past [Think Edmund Hillary] .
Even though it sounds cliche, the website was beautiful, and the clothing was very special. The website also showed many old photos and fabrics apparently taken from some old treasure chest , on which the collections were styled.
I believe maybe the man was based in Ireland however I am not sure.
Ever since, it has stuck in my mind but I cannot seem to find a reference again.
Any help/luck ?
