Baracuta G9 Standard Fit sizing issue? Please help if you own a G9!

Hello, I saw a Made in England G9 on the net which I might be getting. The size of that G9 is a 36R.

I m an around 170cm with 35 inch chest guy, I m not sure if the jacket would look a bit too baggy and possibly a bit too long on me....

Does anyone know the size measurements for a standard fit 36R G9, who could possibly help me out please??

Thanks :)

You're 5'8"? Get the 40R and not the slim cut.

I thought 36R is the smallest size....so yes, I would recommend that. I am similar size as you, and I wear size 36R in G4. its comfortably roomy. They all come in relatively long sleeves.

Best if you can try it out somewhere (though internet may have best deals). You may possibly not like the way it looks or feels on you, i personally think the swingtop look is NOT for everyone, so give it a try first......

Thanks people!!

I am now deciding maybe to get a slim fit or even vintage cut G9 or G10.

It's true that ''baggy style'' clothes arent always everyone's cup of tea, especially for me..(I m only 16 lol)

Vintage cut seems real nice and I also wonder if anyone knows the measurements for a slim fit small or size 36?

(I don't know if the sizing goes up by numbers or by S/M/L for the slim fits)

Cheers people!

I've been wearing Baracuda since the 60's and  can tell you that the sleeves are not long. You're just short. That's why I told him to get the 40 at 5'8".

I'm 5'10" and I wear a size 36R G9 original fit. The sleeve length is fine but they were quite full so I had them slimmed down. I wouldn't size up. If I replace mine, I'll get a slim fit.

The classic cut is very full. I got my chest size in it and swapped it with a slim fit. There is enough room in the latter for a sweater as well. If you want measurements, contact Baracuta direct to see if they can help though I suspect it is hard to interpret fit basewd on some numbers for this style of garment.. If I were you, I would get your nearest chest size in slim fit G9, 36, and take it from there.

How old are you? Are you fully grown yet? 5'10" with a 36" chest sounds like a kid to me or some man who's been in a POW camp for a few years lol8[1].gif

I believe vintage fit is available mostly in Japan. It runs considerably smaller than regular or slim.
