Norfolk Jacket fabrics

I've decided to have Bookster make me a Norfolk Jacket. I now need to decide on fabrics. None of these replicate jackets I already own and I'm leaning towards the last one. Thoughts?

The last is a pretty standard fabric, so I think it will work well. What else will you wear with it, patterned shirts (go for a solid) or solid colored shirts. I would suggest that you get a matching cap made, just for the fun of it. A used full Norfolk jacket costs a lot, about hald of the cost of a new one, so Id would have one made. I have thought of having a driving cap made of the first fabric. Bookster is a great seller.

I'd go with something much bolder.

The distinctive features of a Norfolk make it less likely to be used as a sportcoat so you don't need such conservative fabrics.

I'm planning on using it as an outdoorsy type of coat, basically, for when I go walking in the countryside of England/France. I usually wear solid white shirts, for the most part with knit ties and cords/moleskins.

Trini: What kind of fabric do you think might be bolder?

Does Bookster offer any thornproofs?
Some of them are more distinctive and wear like iron.

The first two look like worsted.

These are all labelled as thornproof and are either by Porter and harding or Johnstons. All are over 550 g; I'm getting a heavier fabric for this.

I like these, especially the first.
